I didn't say I like her pop music.  I'm saying I have plenty of friends who have been put down by their weight.  So I guess I'm used to not making fun of people because they're fat.

I also don't think there's any particular reason anyone should hate anyone based on whether their music is liked or disliked or any excuse, for that matter, to have the poor attitude of "let's kick her while she's down!" That phrase doesn't exactly make you look good.

The mass market has placed her and her music where she is. So, technically, it is the mass market majority who likes her music who are greatly responsible for her triumph in the 90's and today. So, you have many people to resent, in that case.

If you do not like her music, that's your opinion and it should have its own thread as it is another topic altogether.

Like was said earlier, when Agullaiera(sp?) created the nasty, disgusting, skanky character she created for herself last year, she became fair game for criticism.  

Yes the weight thing is pety, but...when you are a celebrity, little things like your weight, for example, will be an item of scrutiny by the public(ie Oprah Winfrey).
