Subject: Hollywood Tough Guy Charles Bronson Dies at 81

Written By: Indy Gent on 08/31/03 at 10:30 p.m.

Some very sad news. Charles Bronson, who played tough guys in several Hollywood films, died today at 81. His credits include "Death Wish", "Once Upon A Time In The West", "mr. Majestic, and "Hard Times". He will be sorely missed. :'(

I didnīt think he was much good as an actor but you are right, he will be missed.

He will be missed, "The Magnificent Seven" in which he stars is one of my favourite westerns. :'(

I was wondering whether he was going to run for governor in California... who knows, maybe he will ;-)

Charles Bronson...certainly one of Hollywoods best tough guys.  Who can forget "The Magnificent Seven", his great performance as the Tunnel Rat in "The Great Escape" or the psychopathic demoted lieutenant in the "Dirty Dozen".  He was in lots of great films.

Just remembered: didn't CB get the part in the Great Escape because he was the only one who could burp (or was it fart?) on demand?

He had all-timers disease and he forgot that he was an actor and made money. That's just sad.

81.  My God.  He was 50-something when he made "Death Wish."

the first movie I ever saw with him was The Great escape.....that was a great movie, but I still dont think he was that great of an actor....He made like 4 sequals to Death Wish...now that was wrong...whichever production company oked that had a death wish..the first one was a good movie, but past that, they sucked....I still havent seen the magnificant seven, but the clash song is great lol ...and of course, the dirty dozen is a classic........

bye Chuck...
