Subject: Environmental Shenanigans

I read in my local paper today that 2 EPA staff members who were deeply involved in changing the regs governing power plant and factory upgrades just took jobs with companies that lobbied for the changes.  One is a power company that gave hundreds of thousands $$$ to Republicans, and the other is the law firm that handled the lobbying effort for the utilities industry.  Thes guys have NO SHAME!!!

What else is new?  Everyone has a price to sell out and someone out there has the money to buy them.  Live here and now, not later, and to hell with our kids futures.  Good attitude, eh?

No wonder I support "Earth 1st".

1Tim.6:9-10 "But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

Well, I just did a fast search and found the article you were talking about.

It seems that they had been with the EPA for 5-10 years, so both of them came in under Clinton.  Considering his repuation, I am not surprised at all.

And as to giving money to Republicans, more research showed that they gave money to both parties in Congress.  It was Congressional officials that made the money, including large payments to California's Senators.  They are both Democrats.

Crooked politicians occur in both parties (as well as the numerous smaller ones).  Just yell at the indivuduals, not try and make propaganda from half the story.

Throughout the Gospels, as Jesus speaks to the masses, He brings up money more than any other subject. It would seem that money is "god" to a lot of people. I think that is why "In God We Trust" is printed on our money, to remind us not to worship the almighty dollar.

When it comes to politicians, it seems we do not choose between "good" or "bad", but between "bad" or "worse"...

Here's a link for ya:

Scroll down to the "Conspiracy Theory Rock" video clip.  It's in .RAM format and the window is pretty small but you get the gist of it.  Pretty funny in a way.
