i think they are becoming one of my favorate british bands, the darkness mania has been sweeping through the UK like a plaige, i think they were going to relese thier debt album in the states, its called permission to land, what does everyone else think of them?

They're brilliant!

I've only heard a few of their songs and seen a few TV appearances but I love 'em.

Some journalists have compared them to old style rockers like Whitesnake or Rainbow, personally I think they owe a lot of their style to Cheap Trick. Of course they're doing it all with some post-modern irony (or something) but they pull it off so well because the songs are so strong.

I love the video for "A Thing Called Love", especially where the hole opens in the roof, a Gibson Les Paul descends slowly, just in time for the lead singer to catch it and play the guitar solo.

I read that their album is banned in Wal-Mart stores in the USA because of some controversy over the photos on the cover, and that this ban may well hamper their career in the USA - anyone care to comment?

I saw them live last month and they were fantastic ! Very very funny too.It is all meant to be tongue in cheek a fact which seems to have missed some people.
