Have any of you heard the song "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Aussie band Jet. It's a fantastic song, real 60's stuff.

Ive talked about this song and band at another board...the band is a great garage rock revival band, but I have a problem with the song.....its a good song, but there is a reason for this...its a blatent rip off of Iggy Pop's "lust for life"...its the exact same riffs, and beat and everything...just new lyrics.....I dont know how they are getting away with it

by all means like them, they are a great band..I just have problems with that song (Which i like regardless)

Billy... Jet's entire ALBUM is basically direct rip-offs of Iggy Pop, Rolling Stones and AC/DC riffs and songs. But guess what? It rules! After the massively over-rated Vines, I thought our rock scene was in a slump, but with Jet and the latest Powderfinger album, it's back amongst the best once again!

really, now, i didnt know that..the whole album is rip offs....oh, ok..hmm...thats interesting..theya re great though
