Subject: DUDE WHERE'S MY COUNTRY

Written By: jaytee on 10/06/03 at 07:50 a.m.

I was listening to the radio today and heard the DJ talking about this book which is the latest offering from Michael Moore.  Has anyone read it yet?  (I'm not even sure if it's hit the bookshops here).  Apparently he poses some very interesting questions regarding Saudi Arabia and George Bush.  Can't wait to get my hands on a copy.

Michael Moore has some very interesting ideas.  I want to buy all his books after seeing "Bowling for Columbine"!

'Stupid White Men' was brilliant, and far more balanced than it was made out to be.

I read it and I could tell where he used misleading information. It was generally an acurate and biting indictment of the Bush administration and the Republican party themselves.

I liked it because the ranting was well balanced by a heavy dose of humor. Use lefties get the humor edge. I haven't seen real good right wing humor. The closest thing I could find is if you go to ihaterepublicans.com, it takes you to an anti-democrat joke site which is pretty playful and not really offensive. Still, it's not nearly as funny as anything Michael Moore has done... ever... in the history of the Universe.

Michael Moore can be described in 4 simple words:  Limousine-riding liberal fraud.

I just love it when frauds like Moore are making movies about the "plight of the everyday man" and the" evils of America and Capitalism" (the same country and system that has made him millions).  And during all this, his bank account is bursting at the seams.

Typical Limousine Liberal. ::)

I'd still like to hear your President answer the questions Mike More poses in his latest book.  ???

Ad Homenim Attack: To attack the person, not the issue.

Tell me why his position is wrong not what is wrong with him.

Oh, I see.

Kinda like Anne Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Paula Jones, Ken Star, Monica Lewinsky, Linda Tripp, Juanita Broaddrick, and many many others that the "other side" has attacked.

I am amazed at how one sided some people are.  When they are going after one side, it is fair and good.  When they are looked at the same way, it is an unprovoked attack.

This is why I so rarely attack anybody, I just point out things, and let them defend.  If they take such a view as an attack, it makes me wonder what they are so defensive about and why.

Speaking as an outsider, that's a typical US-political answer: no attempt to answer the question, just slag off the other side.  It really doesn't matter one hoot about what the Left may have said about these people, unless you answer the direct point, you ain't no better than the people you're complaining about.

Modified to add: not that UK politics is much better :-(

I second that.  Mike poses some tough questions you know W doesnt have the guts to ever answer (such as why is he practically in bed with the Saudi royal family?).  He sure opens up Pandoras box with well cited references and makes you think.
