Subject: Yankees and Red Sox:

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better the rilvary has heated up. What was Pedro Martinez doing? First he hits Karim Garcia with a pitch. Garcia has words with Martinez than Martinez points to Jorge Posada. When you think things can't get any more violent Roger Clemens pitches Manny Rameriz a little inside and than Rameriz points at Clemens and the benches clear. Pedro Martinez strikes Don Zimmer. Come on Zimmer is 72 years old. Like he's going to do anything violent. Finally, the groundskeeper for the Red Sox in the 9th inning is waving his Red Sox flag at a Yankee Player(Jeff Nelson.) Come on you don't do that. You're a groundskeeper not a fan in the stands. The groundskeeper goes after Nelson and than Garcia jumps into the fray. Now Nelson a and Garcia are charged with assualt. In my opinion Martinez should have been thrown out of the game. Nelson and Garcia charged with assualt: You have to be kidding me.

Pedro didnt strike Zimmer, he grabbed the overweight 72 year old's head and threw him to the ground. Its just odd that he didnt get ejected for it.

What I would like to know is why a 72 year old would charge the mound? From what I saw of it, Pedro was only trying to get the dude out of his face. I didn't see all of it (or what exactly happened) but I did see that.

Some dude charges at me with his left arm up....I'd protect myself.  Maybe Pedro could've put his hands out and grabbed him...but I don't think Pedro is in the wrong.....Zim had no business going after anyone....

Maybe Don Zimmer had to have an excuse to run around to give his ass some breathing room because he forgot his Preparation H.

Remember when "Popeye" Zimmer was the manager of the Bosox? He was the leader when Carlton Fisk hit his famous "willed" home run in Game 6 the '75 Series. (Or maybe that was Alvin Dark :-/) They still lost to the Reds in Game 7. He and Billy Martin were famous for their brawling styles. Game 3 Saturday wasn't nearly as heated as when The Yanks and Bosox squared off in the 70s and 80s.
