Subject: NFL FOOTBALL

Written By: Child_of_the_80s on 10/12/03 at 08:15 a.m.

I wanted to start this post so that we can give our opinions on football.I want to start it off by congratulating Tony Dungy on his victory over his old team the Bucs.I know he wasnt bitter against the team or John Gruden but he should have been bitter against the front office for letting him go.I KNOW THEY FEEL STUPID NOW!He built that team and deserves the credit for the Bucs being the champs hopefully he can do the same for the Colts.John Gruden is a great coach but the work was mostly done by Dungy.

My prediction for week 6 is the Packers upsetting the Chiefs.

I hope you didn't bet on this one, Child_of_the_80s. The Chiefs won it in OT 40-34.

Well, another week is gone.Bill Parcells is a GENIUS!!!He really showed up our Eagles. We should have known better not to try that onside kick again. What a performance by Steve McNair he is on fire.I wonder what Rush Limbaugh is thinking "Now I can pick on the other "McBlack" quarterback and get the attention off my druggee hypocritical racist life LMAO!The Chiefs are still undefeated being lead by another GENIUS Dick Vermeil. Its fun to see teams go undefeated for a good part of the season but there will never ever be another undefeated team after the season is over.I dont care if you took a Pro Bowl team and put them against the regular teams.

My upset of the week for week 7 will be the Chargers over the Browns. It looks like a crappy game but it will be the game of the day! ;)

You hit that one right on the head. ;)
BTW, The Carolina Panthers, the team that beat the Colts last week, lost at home to the Tennessee Titans, the defending champions of the AFC Central, where the Colts are a member of. Let's hope the Colts don't become a team like the baseball Seattle Mariners whom blow divisional titles to the same team every year. :-/

I think the Steelers should not have benched Amos Zereoue for Jerome Bettis.Tommy Maddox is the problem and he should have been benched for Charlie Batch but just for one half depending on how Batch does.Donovan McNabb should hve been benched today too in favor of A.J. Feely.Steve Spurrier is a LUNATIC he just has two QBs on his roster poor Ramsey is taking a beating so the release Rob Johnson (who isnt good enough to be a waterboy)and sign Tim Hasselbeck who has no idea about the offense?.......OK? ???My upsets of the day will be Saints over Carolina and Bengals over Seattle.

I 2nd that. ;)

If nothing less, it will save time by not having to read 2 threads of the same topic.

I don't mind the two threads, but it is a nuisance to some others. I guess we just have to deal with it.  ;)

I didnt want to cause any trouble by having another football thread. The way I see it you can post on either one.I did notice that RockandRollfan started a NFL FOOTBALL post after I created mine so he obviously wants the attention on him when it comes to sports. He already has a hockey and college football post...I guess "his basketball post is next" but whatever people should be able to post even if its the same topic.

Actually, I did see RockandRoll's thread before yours. How can you say yours came before his? And I already start the Basketball thread because Rock hasn't hinted he is a big B-ball fan that I know about. I don't want to start a big controversy either, but facts are facts. :-/

Rockandrollfan started his NFL thread on 9-5-03, you started yours on 10-12-03.

I'm not a math whiz, but it seems yours came about a month and a week after his.

So, maybe its you Child_of_the_80s that, as you accused Rockandrollfan of, "obviously wants the attention...when it comes to sports".

Just an observation.

I was hoping that Bryan Griese was going to start for the Dolphins hes very talented even though hes a primadonna. With him at the helm the Dolphins should go to the AFC Championship.
