they just announced on the radio......

He of the high voice is no more..... :(

They were righteous dudes, and had awesome voices.  ;)

They left a legacy of great tunes  :D

I just caught it on the news, I think he was in his hotel room, and they had to cancel the concert he was gonna play in....but I may have mis-heard that bit......

I particularly was fond of :

Yes, me too.  That song was #1 in the U.S. on the day I was born.  :'(

Apparently he died peacefully in his sleep.  

so sad - he and Bill had such great melody together.  

Lovin Feelin and Unchained are awesome huge songs.  Somewhere I have an old cassette with them doing Cotton Fields and Clementine and In The Midnight Hour.  I am going to dig it out and give it a good ole play tonight.
