Subject: Movie Talk

I just wanted to start this post to talk about the movies.I saw the trailer for the Punisher movie.IT LOOKS AWFUL!It looks like a low budget "B" movie.I saw a poster for Alien vs. Predator so that should kick butt.I heard that Christian Bale will be the new Batman.

Christian Bale....as BATMAN?!! LMAO!!!!
I'd rather see Val Kilmer in the cape again!
God I hope that's not true..

I've never heard of the Punisher movie, but it sounds like I'm not missing much.  :)

This month, I plan on seeing Runaway Jury with L15 and Elf with my boyfriend when I'm home for Thanksgiving vacation.  I also might see Dickie Roberts or Matchstick Men this week if I have time/money.  I've seen a movie every month since June or July of 2002 so I need to keep the streak going!

If it is anywhere as bad as the LAST "Punisher" movie, you will miss nothing at all.

This was made into a movie before, about 12 years ago.  THe movie was laughably bad, and they actually cast Dolph Lundgren as Frank Castle, a New York cop!  His accent was so funny, it hury to listen to it.

Now I am not nocking on foreign actors.  Arnold has done great things with his career.  But imagine him trying to take his "True Lies" character, early in his career when he sounded like he just arrived in the country and his accent was so thick as to be almost not understandable.

I have so many pet peeves at the movies.I was watching the Matrix and a guy was snoring so loud. His wife was just letting him snore and didnt have the common sense to wake him up instead of ruining the movie for everyone else.I got so many other pet peeves that I'll post later.

*blank stare*  I'm sorry, but what moron signed him on to be the new batman?  He's... it's.... I don't even know what to say.  Look at Christian Bale and TELL ME that you can imagine HIM playing Batman.

That's almost as bad as having Keanu Reeves play Don John in Much Ado About Nothing... almost.

Has anyone seen a preview for the comedy STUCK ON YOU yet? If so what movie was it showing before? :)

Heres some more of my movie pet peeves

1.People who save seats for people who havent showed up yet.

2.People who put their coats and things on seats and you ask them to move then they sigh with an attitude.

3.When your waiting to see the movie and the people coming out are talking about it and giving parts away.

This one isnt a pet peeve but makes me wonder. How come sometimes I'll sit next to a woman and all of the sudden her husband or boyfriend tells her to switch seats like he is jealous of another man sitting next to his lady.If you cant trust your lady to sit next to another dude than you shouldnt be with her?WHAT IS SHE GOING TO DO SLIP OFF HER SHOE AND START PLAYING FOOTSIES WITH A TOTAL STRARNGER LOL?

How about when someone's cell phone goes off during a movie, and instead of shutting it off, they sit there and answer it.  "HELLO?!  Oh hi.  Yeah, I'm at the movie theatre right now."  And then they proceed to have a conversation from their seat.  (I've seriously seen that happen before!)

Lets see how he does.....he cant be any worse than Michael Keaton,Val Kilmer or George Clooney. The movie is based on a younger Batman on his first adventures.Bale played a dark character in American Psycho and Batman is a dark hero.

Don't you love it when the person sitting behind puts their feet up on your seat - so every time they move it bumps your chair.

oh yeah, don't you love it when people brings their kids to non-kid friendly movies....Don't bring your loud 5 and youngers to the Matrix.  If you can't find a babysitter wait till the movie comes out on DVD.  Why should I have to listen to can I open my eyes now, I'm tired, I wanna go home, I have to go potty, etc., etc.

In reply to the Child of the 80's maybe the women that you are sitting next to have very insecure boyfriends/husbands. Maybe you are good looking and that threatens insecure males.  It might also be a male territory thing.  The guys might want to show you that she is with them, don't get any ideas.  I am not a guy so I am only guessing.

When I went to go see Freddy vs. Jason 25% of the audience was 7 and under ???I was disgusted that parents would take their kids to see this like it was Harry Potter or Finding Nemo ???You wonder why kids are afraid of the dark or afraid to dream about Freddy Kruger >:(

I don't get the appeal of epic sagas. They're too long, yet they are always considered front runners for the Oscars. Doesn't Hollywood know that the majority of Americans have short attention spans? For example: "Master and Commander", "Cold Mountain", "Alamo". I would even rather have "Finding Nemo" nominated for Best Picture.

I think people dig movies based on historic events. It makes them feel like they saw what went on.Its usually a success "Titanic" "Gladiator" and the millions of WWII movies all won Oscars.Eventually they are going to make a 9/11 movie. But Gods and Generals is way too long 5 hours!!!

Child of the 80's are the only seats available right next to females, are you purposely selecting seats next to them even though there may be other seat choices, are you alone, are you with a group of people, or are you on a date?  That might also tell you why men are moving their women away from you.  What man wants a good looking man who is alone sitting down next to their woman?  Just asking from a females point of view.

Big Hair Girl, its all the above. If Im with someone or not I just find an available seat. What usually happens is that I'll be a few seats awa from somebody and it starts getting crowded. Then the usher tells everyone to slide down to make room for other people and all of the sudden Im next to someones lady or whatever.

Child of the 80's, looks like you have a problem that other people want....for people to be jealous of you.  Like I said before, I think men are insecure and threatened by other good looking men.

Hey Big Hair Girl if it was reversed would you tell your man to switch seats if a TOTAL BABE sat next to him?

Child of the 80's probably not, nothing can happen if I am sitting right there.  I am too stubborn to show my insecurities to him.  And if someone wants him and he wants them back then they can have him...LOL  (I wasn't being snarfy to you - I was trying to tell you my opinion why I think men are moving their women away from you...take it as a compliment.)

I liked the 3 previous Batmen, but Cold Mountain is probably going to be one of the best films ever.

I saw Gothika with Halle Berry it was a Sixth Sense ripoff.I always thought Penelope Cruz looked like an ogre...and thats with make-up and shes wearing none in this movie. If I were Tom Cruise I would wear a blindfold 24/7.When Charles S. Dutton kissed Halle the whole audience went "eewwwww" LOL!I give the movie 1 and 1/2 out of 4 stars.

I saw "The Last Samurai",I liked it.It had some good action in it.It s a breath of fresh air seeing martial arts without all the phony "Matrix" special effects. The part of the story that weirded me out was how this woman fell for Cruise after he killed her husband. ::)She must have been desperate for a man.Cruise should have died in the end I thought.I give it 2 1/2 stars out of four.

I also saw "Honey" JESSICA ALBA IS REALLY CUTE!Im glad to see her on the screen I was mad when they cancelled her Fox show. She knows how to move!!!Hopefully she can top J-Lo and star in more movies. This movie has to have to record for most sports jerseys LOL!I give it two out of four stars.
