I only wanted to see the Foo Fighters, but the thought of having to watch the rest of the performers was enough to turn my stomach.  Though I suppose I could have taped it and watched it today, but I don't always think these things through until it's too late.

I hate to keep sounding like a broken record about this, but No doubts performance....drove me to drink :P.

I can't stand Clay Aiken either, where was Reuben studdard?? He won!!

Evernesence (excuse my spelling) was pretty good. That was all I saw, I missed STING  >:(.

Well, I'm probably in the minority on this board, but in my opinion, Clay was the best performance.  At least he actually sung and didn't lip-sync like some of the others.  I also thought Triumph and Dave were a little lame.  I usually like Dave Grohl, but that just turned my stomach.  I just don't like people trying to build themselves up by putting others down.    But, that's just me.  I do like what Sting had to say, though.

I wholeheartedly agree. I refused to watch the show in its entirety, but kept checking back waiting for Sting. It was worth the bother. His concise speech was fantastic.

Maybe it's just me, but Sting seemed almost out of place there. IMO, the show totally lacked class.

I agree with you.  The only reason I watched the whole show was to see Clay.  Sting was an added bonus with his great speech.
