Has anyone else noticed a major decrease in spam emails?
Up until last week I would average around 60-70 spams/per day. I had filters that would catch them luckily, but I still got a count of how many I got.
But suddenly in the last few days, my spam has dropped from nearly 60-70/day, to around 5-10/day.
And thats without the filter on! I can't explain it. But then again, I am not about to complain about it. :)
Have any of you seen a decrease?

You are not alone. I usually get around 50 junk emails a day at my hotmail address, but in the last few days have had about 5 a day. Like you, I'm not going to complain about it, but I was wondering why it had suddenly decreased to this small amount.

Opposite for me.
It quietened down a week or two back but last week jumped back up to 80 odd a day.
I swear half of Nigeria wants me to look after a few billion dollars for them.

Every day I get 2 or 3, which doesn't sound a lot but these are the ones getting through the spam filters at work.

Well, I changed ISP's a while ago and haven't gotten many since I got rid of the old email addy. I swear, everyone and their brother had that one. I had over 400 rule messages, a spam filter & all that stuff and I would still get over 100/day. Now, I get 1 or 2 a week. Usually penis enlargement :o which is funny since I have no penis ;D

Oh man, you mean that was a scam? I just thought they really "trusted" me. :D (kidding of course)

I'm still recieving just a much as I have in the last several weeks. It is always from the same places too. I do have a spam filter but some stuff still comes through. I just hope that now that this new bill has passed, that will stop.

A while ago,I had gotten well over 100 e-mails and that included breast enhancement,viagra,porno,stock,unknowns,etc...Now,it's about 30-50 pieces. :D
...Now tell me,why do I need breast enhancement or viagra even? ::) ;D

My husband, with a PhD. recieves some that asks him if he wants to earn his degree. Some also ask him if he wants breast enlargements too. I told him to go for it. ;)

2 things happened on the SPAM front today.
Microsoft, in cooperation with the Atty. General of New York have filed a $38 Million lawsuit against several spam companies, including OptInRealBig.Com. OptInRealBig.Com's CEO Scott Ritcher freely admits to sending over 80 MILLION spam messages a day, selling everything from breast and penis growth formulas, Human Growth Hormone, herbal Viagra, and the infamous "Nigerian E-mail". They charge OptInRealBig.Com of violating the New York Anti-spam laq over 40,000 times.

I've seen a MAJOR decrease in hotmail spam, I used to get pages, filtered, but now just a few. On AOL, there was never much anyway.

Yes me too.
I went through 3 hotmail addresses trying to evade the spam. Now its just a few/day.

This morning I wound up with 111 emails.And I logged off from last night at about 11pm and turned it on again at 9 this morning so how in the hell could I wound up getting over 100 in 10 hours? >:( Geez! ::)

I have about 98 message rules set up but still all those "mis spelled" ones get thru and ones that just say Re in the title line.
And I am more and more coninced that the entire population of Nigeria wants to be my best friend. One even swears she is a Princess. Gosh its soooo convincing I may just give her my bank account number ::) ::) ::)
