I do too!  :) I think I've read about three of them, though. I think "The Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe" is the 2nd book in the series; "The Magician's Nephew" is the 1st; it tells about how Narnia began.

After I finished the first one I had to go back to the library and borrow the other books.  I finished the Chronicles of Narnia in a week, it was such a cool story :)

I read them years ago and loved them. It was an interesting way of boiling Christianity and morals down to their basics so kids could understand it, and at the same time they told an excellent story.
They made them into a TV series, I have a few of them on video. They were fun, but they kid who played Lucy was really annoying- can't quite put my finger on why.

I got these at the Book Fair for my sons.  I'm with you Cheetara, looks like it's time to pull them out and reread them.  They were my favorite books when I was younger.  Those and "The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler" and all of the Encyclopedia Brown books. ;D

I remember having the first book as a required book in 3rd or 4th grade.  And even in 2nd grade, our teacher read them to us.

I can imagine that if that happened now, the teacher would be shot.  After all, they were nothing but bible stories put into a fantasy setting.  The similarity between Aslan and Jesus is obvious, seeing it as an adult.

I had totally forgotten about Encyclopedia Brown!  I loved those books!

I also love "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."  I haven't read any of the others.  But I love that one.  I remember a cartoon they made of it.  I cried when they cut off Aslan's mane.

I now can see how they are related to Christianity.  But when I was younger I read it for the great story of witches, trolls, and other magical creatures.  Which whenever I hear someone downing the Harry Potter series, I always bring up this series of books.  When I read The Lion, I didn't want to become a magical creature.  I just thought it was a good story.  I also knew I wouldn't find a magical world in the back of my wardrobe either.

But, it is an awesome series!
