Subject: My low-E guitar string broke!

Written By: PF4Eva on 12/27/03 at 03:10 p.m.

Why don't guitar manufacturers tune their guitars in standard tuning BEFORE shipping them to stores!!???  :'(  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Today, I was tuning my guitar that I got for Christmas this year, and I tightened the low-E string a little too tight and it broke! :'( I was using my keyboard to help tune my guitar in standard tuning.

Then again, my stepfather might have goofed up the tuning himself. ???

My grandfather, whom I live with, said that he'd buy a new one when he gets the chance. Thank God they don't cost a fortune like the guitar itself!!

Has anyone else had problems tuning your guitars? And how did ou resolve the problem?
