Subject: RIP: Kellie Waymire from "Enterprise"

Written By: AndrewTalkingWalnut on 01/14/04 at 08:39 a.m.

She played the part of Ens Elizabeth Cutler on a few episodes,
I read about her death in the "Star Trek Communicator" Magazine
She was only 36, but the article said it was "natural causes" but what exactly caused her to die so young.
I feel a sort of Sadness over her Death. After seeing the picture of her in the Magazine.
I feel her Death, was too soon. Just like with John Ritter, and the tragic death of John Candy in 1994.
On "Enterprise" did they have a Tribute of some sort to her?

I hope she is in Heaven.
Does anyone know if "Enterprise" will be the last Star Trek series.

 Another "Enterprise" Question
on the episode , I think the Title was "Stigma" it was about
T'pol the Vulcan having a Form of Vulcan AIDS, which affected the immune system.
On that episode did they mention if a cure was ever found(according to Star Trek for AIDS/HIV?

Didn't John Candy basically eat his way into oblivion?  ???

As I recall he was severely, outrageously obese  but simply continued to eat like crazy against the advice of everyone.  Then finally his heart blew out like the docs said it would.  Died prematurely, but unlike John Ritter, he had a choice in the matter.

Yes, but How much did John Candy weigh, what was his maximum weight?

That's like saying Fred "Rerun" Berry or Chris Farley died of obesity too. There was more than that surrounding Candy's death. He was working in a hot, dry, windy climate while filming "Wagons East". Even for a svelte guy, that could be potential for heat stroke. :(

Well...

1.  John Candy died in Mexico, but he died in his sleep according to the death certificate, somewhere between 6:00 to 8:00 in the morning.  He was 43 years old and weighed 375 lbs.  According to news/bio accounts, he was a compulsive overeater who ignored the advice of doctors, especially when his family had a history of heart problems.

2.  Chris Farley snuffed himself the old fashioned way... with booze and drugs.  He, also, was a compulsive overeater and had a severe inferiority complex and need for approval.  He bit the dust at age 33, in the famous John Hancock Building in downtown Chicago.  He spent his last night with prostitutes, snorting heroin and smoking crack.  By all accounts a rip-roaring final party.  The autopsy found traces of heroin, cocaine, marijuana, prozac.  He weighed 296 pounds and had a severely enlarged heart and clogged arteries.  www.findadeath.com has more details and some disturbing photos.  :-/

3.  Fred "Rerun" Berry died of a stroke as I recall at age 52.  And yes he was obese, (and formerly was a coke addict) but if you see how he lived his life, he tried to turn it around and did not drive himself hell-bent towards death.  He became a minister and broke free from cocaine.  :)

Point of Trivia:  Before Fred Berry did the "Rerun" gig, he was a pioneer of the break dancing scene, inventing the "Pop Lock".  8) His street name was "The Penguin" and it was in this role that he donned the red beret and suspenders.  He incorporated it into the "Rerun" character.

All I could find on the web was that Entertainment Weekly was reporting that she died from a brain aneurysm.

Does anyone know what parts she played on Freinds or Seinfeld?

Yes, but what could have possibly caused her
to die of a Brain Aneurysm at such a young age
36??

Aneurysms "happen".  They are basically a weakened section of blood vessel that baloons out and... in the worst case... "pop".  It could well be that she was born with a weak spot in the affected vessel and, finally, it popped.  Aneurysms can be nasty because they often pop without ANY prior symptoms.

And some brain aneurysms, even if detected, are inoperable.

What do we think of the
addition of the words "Star Trek" to the Enterprise show.
