Subject: Cereal Help

Written By: bj26 on 01/15/04 at 08:52 a.m.

I just can't seem to get one cereal both my kids like, one is 14, the other 10.  Got Coco Pebbles, and the 10 year old may like it but maybe not me or the 14 year old so much.  She likes Super Honey Crisp but ran out of it.  Once before someone suggested Lucky Charms mixed with Coco Puffs which sounded kind of interesting!  Any suggestions for something new we might all like?

Thats excactly what my mother did for us, and what I've done for my neices and nephews when they stay with me.

We've created all kinds of cereal "hybrids". :)

Cocoa Krispies + Regualr Rice Krispies is good.  Tastes like chocolate flavored rice krispy treats.

How about throwing in a little Froot Loops too?  That will add some "crunch" and a fruity accent.

I could eat Froot Loops for breakfast/lunch/dinner...  :P

Thanks everyone for the great advice, it's always uplifting to hear from you, and I'll try your suggestions.  Just thought I'd throw this in, if you leave a bowl of chereos and milk out for about an hour, it turns into oatmeal!

Personally, I wish they would make more versions of
Sugar-Free cereals.

Heck, with most cereals if they took out the sugar there would only be air in the box.  :P

Who says they have to like it?  :)  You know, if you have a sadistic side, you could put this to your advantage.  Maybe make them arm wrestle, or bare knuckle boxing for the right to decide what to chose.  ;D

Why not just get two kinds of cereal, one for each...

I like Frosted Mini Wheats and my 6 year old does to.  The sugar masks the fact that it is good for her. ;D

The problem with cereals back then is that the oat, wheat & corn was all put on with a ton of SUGAR.I guess that's where we got our rush from. :P ;D
