Subject: Dirty-Politics strikes again...

Written By: 80sRocked on 02/12/04 at 01:38 p.m.

The Drudge Report is reporting that John Kerry was caught "with his pants down"...with an intern.

I don't think this will carry much wieght, and like all smear campaigns, it is pathetic and unnessecary.

80sRocked, I beg to differ.  And I would say (and have said before) the same thing whether Kerry were Republican or Democrat.

Marital infidelity DOES MATTER.  Why?

Because if his own WIFE can not trust him, then how can the rest of the country?

Now... as to this recent charge against Kerry, I do not know if it is true or not.  I certainly hope it is not true.

But if it were found to be true, IT MATTERS.

Oh, one other thing.  Kerry would be pretty stupid to cheat with an intern.  because if he got caught, his wide, Teresa Heinz, would take her $550,000,000 football and walk out.  She don't take no crap.

yes I agree, I didn't mean that its ok to cheat on your wife.  I was just saying that this wreaks of the same tactic used just a few months ago against Schwarzenegger.

Smear campaigns are a sign of desperation, in my opinion.  It shows that whoever brought this out realized they can't win legitemately, therefore they start digging in the closet for dirt, whether true or not.

Sorry, but that's a complete non sequitur: I think you'll find that a huge number (maybe even a majority) of our elected leaders have been unfaithful to their spouses at some time or other (even our own John Major, which is pretty startling stuff) without it impacting on the way they do their jobs.  It pisses me off, however, that for some reasong not being competent at doing the job is somehow not considered a valid reason for voting somebody out...

I remember when I heard about the John Major & Edwina Currie thing. I ran around the room slapping the side of my head, screaming "BAD MENTAL PICTURE!!! OUT OUT OUT!!!" for about fifteen minutes.

:-)  ...but it could be worse: Blair and Margaret Beckett, for example - thought the Tories are still ahead by a couple of lengths, just imagine: Michael Howard and Ann Widdecombe... excuse me while I take some mind-altering drugs to try and get *that* image out of my head..

How do you think that being a person who can not be trusted does not carry over into the workplace?  People who cheat on their spouses are the lowest form of traitor.  Their treachery is against someone with whom they live in close contact day-to-day, and in the case of families with small children, (not the case with Kerry), involves someone who has little demonstrated regard for the children's well-being.

So... Like I said... If a man;s OWN FAMILY can not trust him, neither will I.

I guess that's an estimated one third of the workforce unemployable, then.  I think you're being unduly judgemental, that all: being unfaithful to your spouse could be a momentary act of weakness, or a long-term planned betrayal - it's a bit like defining anyone who throws down litter as a criminal.

The aphrodisiac nature of power, perhaps?  After all, think of John Major (or Edwina Curry, for that matter)  (oops.. sorry  @ssKicker)

the cooldude with the flintstone head is right not much of a choice.  Go Bush!  Lets see- unemployment:

1970's-7.4%
1980's-8.2%
1990's-5.8%
2004-5.6%

According to the news the unemployment rate is at the lowest its ever been since oct. 1963 and the GDP is the best its been in 20 years.  And as for jobs, where I work (Lockheed Martin in Georgia) more and more jobs are being filled in everyday which is also boosting my seniority.

If Kerry did cheat, then darn him for bringing this babble into a political race.  I hate it when important issues that pertain to all of us is plowed under by this kind of crap.
If Kerry didn't cheat, then darn them for stirring this crap up.

You said it, Race.

I wonder if we are ever going to hear about the acutal issues before the race.
