Subject: Is Life Good?

Written By: Andrew-CoolestDude on 02/15/04 at 10:40 a.m.

I remember this one time I was in a Lutheran Church and the pastor said, in the context of a Sermon, that "It's not that Death is bad, but Life is Good"

My reply is that Life can be good, if you have alot of money and are in good mental and physical health.
I say this sadly, but their is no future for this world, which we are all at the Mercy of, the forces of Death,Despair, and uncertainty stalk us everywhere.
But their is Hope in our Loving Creator, that we will all be in Heaven eventually, Universalism, that their is Life after Death, Life after Life, our Conciousness survives after Death, and that all the hobbies and interests of Earthly life exist on the other side.
I believe we are living in the "Last Days" or near the last days, the nations will come against Israel, but God will protect her, the "Anti-Christ" will appear, and the world order will break down, Globally, there will be disasters that will make Sept 11,2001 look like a Picnic.
But their is Hope for Humanity, Universalism is also called "The Larger Hope"

I think personally that only you yourself can answer if life is good! and as sung in a song by Talk Talk "Life's What You Make It".

You don't need a lot of money to be happy! Money is always nice but as the old saying goes "Money is the root of all evil!"

There is a future in this world but you need to believe in it, don't ponder on what might have been and take chances!  That is what makes life good! Actions speak louder than words!  Go out and get what you want "Take life by the horns" and all the other many quotes!    :P

I think that you are quite right to say uncertainty stalk us everywhere, but why worry about what might happen and get on with what you want to achieve! as stated in the song Beautiful Boy" by John Lennon "Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans".

If, and I do say if there is an "other side" why worry about that now and get on with your life!  There is no reason to worry about what will happen when you die when you still have a long life left to live now!!!

Quoting: I believe we are living in the "Last Days" or near the last days, the nations will come against Israel, but God will protect her, the "Anti-Christ" will appear, and the world order will break down, Globally, there will be disasters that will make Sept 11,2001 look like a Picnic.End Quote

I don't think we have quite reached the last days yet! But I do believe that this world is going to be destroyed one day!  But it will be the human race that destroys it! either by blowing it up or with the whole o-zone thing! As for September 11th being a picnic! Compared to things that have happened in other countries (attacks by other countries, famine, etc.) it was!.

Quoting:But their is Hope for Humanity, Universalism is also called "The Larger Hope" End Quote

You sure like to make the same points in different topics don't you? :D  "Consistancy, I like that, you're hired!" Simpsons reference :)

Quoting:I hope to see my Grandfather on the Other side, I never knew him that well, and of course the Girl I like "Pam"
End Quote

Speaking of consistancy!!! :D  Obviously a Doors fan :D

OK, I'm out of quotes for now :P
