Well Colorado pulled thier heads out last night just long enough to earn a 3-1 win in the opener over the Stars :)

The Habs have to change their game plan for game 2. Joe Thornton is still injured and the Habs didn't dress Darren Langdon. The Habs are a faster team but the Bruins are just too big and speed doesn't mean a thing if you're constantly picking yourself up off the ice.

Here's a question for you hockey folk...ever notice how back in the day, home jerseys were light colored and away jerseys were dark, but now it's flipflopped? Why do you think that is?
Personally I think it's sorta like in football, where it's more difficult to pick up the ball if it's the home team because the ball is dark and the home jersey is dark...similarly the puck is black and against, for example, Red Wings home red, it's harder to see than old-style Red Wings home white...does that make sense?

Yes but basketball is is the opposite...home is light while away is dark....weird :-/

Avalanche FINALLY seem to be waking up after going through the motions in the last 10 regular season games....they beat Dallas again last night, 5-2...and lead the series 2-0 :D

YES! Avalanche beat Turco and the Stars in 2 OT's last night and bring a 3-1 series lead back to Denver :)
