Subject: Denver University Wins NCAA Hockey Title!

The Denver Pioneers beat Maine 1-0 just now to win the NCAA Hockey Championship.  Maine had a 2 man advantage for the last 2 minutes but Denver held on :D

I guess there were no Indiana teams to root for, so I'm glad one of your teams won.

Were they at one point referring to it as "The Frozen Four"?

There was absolutely no coverage of it up here.

Thanks, RnRF! :) But first things first. The Pacers hoepfully will get their 60th win, either at Philly tomorrow or the Bulls in Conseco Wednesday. I feel they need to reach the milestone for momentum's sake, but not at the expense of a costly injury. Then we can hopefully coast to the NBA Finals. I hope the Nuggets go to, but my head says we'll have to be the Kings, Wolves, Lakers, or Spurs in the Final. GO PACERS!!!

yeah it's been a long edit time since they won a title.  i was sadden to see BC beat U-M in the second round.  i thought who ever would win the BC/Maine game would win it all.  well congrats to see a winning team there, because we all know the Avs are going nowhere:)

Thanks Wolveroses, they hadn't won it since back-toback in '68-'69....as for the Avs I don't know what to say about them just yet.  They played the last 10 games like crap but have really been doing great against the Stars.  Good luck to your Wings as well... ;)
