Here is another thing that annoys me.  Police who are driving get close to a red light or a stop sign and then turn on their sirens, go through the red light or stop sign, and then turn the siren off when they get to the other side.

Add to that cops who drop in behind you and tailgait you for miles and miles.
I can't stand drivers who are discourteous to pedestrians, and at the same time, pedestrians who exacerbate the problem by crossing against the light.

Which brings me to another thing that drives me nuts up here in Canada. The government will pay for immigrants to go to school, take a french class and have the luxury of not having to pay as much taxes as someone who was born here. I was once 'associated' with Jehovah's Witnesses. They are not that bad - a bit pedantic sometimes. Try not to treat them too cruelly (I'LL SEND FOR THE COPS!!!). They are as nervous cold-calling on people as you are angry seeing them at the doors. You can always say 'not interested' and they should take the hint and write DNC on their reports (meaning 'Do not call').  :)

My sister Sue who lives in Denver.she shut out my parents from 1991-1998 and then my Dad had a triple-bypass and she came back around....she gave any explnation and never said she was "Sorry"  >:( So in a more general way of putting this....I've always believed the best way to resolve something is through a heartfelt apology. Life may be too short to hold a grudge or harbor bad feelings towards someone but that sincere apology sure takes care of things :)

I don't know about the rest of you but $23.50 a month is hard to survive on.  I got a mortgage at about 975 dollars a month.  Electric, gas, water, car payments, food, internet, digital cable, it gets expensive.  If Lockheed wasn't so fricking greedy they would give me a dang raise which I haven't gotten in over 4 years.  And Maxwell is right, my brother is in debt and he makes $300,000 a year!  The more you make, the more you spend.  SCREW YOU LOCKHEED.

Alright something that annoys me in the Georgia state patrol.  Its there commercials and them.  Every day about 15 times I see that stupid commercial saying ''we are cracking down on Georgia drivers for seatbelts, speed, and alcohol......because Georgia is ranked the fastest (in cars) then any other state.''  Every day I run late be they are stoping EVERYONE on the interstate and highways checking for presence of alcohol, which to me seems like profiling.  And, no joke when I lived in Tennessee ALL the police smiled and were so friendly, then I move down here and all I see are 20 year-olds with a serious bug up their ***.  I swear I think all the rookie cops are in Georgia then after a fews years on the job they move to the other 49 states.

(definitely too large to call a "hick" town)   Alpharetta and Buckhead are the wealthier areas in the Atlanta area, btw.  :)

As opposed to people who throw nice cigarette butts all over the place!  We have a local mental case who picks up cigarette butts off the sidewalk.  He's got obsessive-compulsive disorder, apparently, his name is Bill, and I've heard he was once a chemistry grad student at the University, until his mind deteriorated.  My friend and I call him "Bill the Cigarette Picker-Upper."  He's generally filthy, and shirtless, weather permitting.  He prostrates himself like a Muslim praying to Mecca, and picks up cigarette butts, bits of paper, and god knows what else.  I've seen him board the municipal bus and prostrate in the aisle, hunting for discarded treasures.  I've bitten my nails as he calls the middle of the street his own hunting ground! Another local character, Monica the Horse Lady, has a crush on him, but that's another story.

I don't know if anyone else has had the experience with cops as I, but I find the farther up the chain they are, they more civil they become.  I've been pulled over by state cops and, while they're not friendly, they're more crisp and professional in their manner.  The local yokels tend to give you more dirty looks and attitude.  They also have a big need to intimidate you, like Officer Cartman, "respect mah authoratah!!!"  Among local cops, the attitude is worse among rookies than among older, higher ranking cops, as GWB points out.  Below local yokels, you've got security guards, rent-a-cops, and mall cops.  They're just d*cks!  I think it's because they know no one over fifteen takes them seriously!

To me it seems these 2 kinda contradict each other.  I'm glad that we have gotten to a generation that realizes white people aren't superior to blacks, yet too many people still have the same kinda problem with foreigners.  That's another thing that p*ssed me off at college: my roommate the 1st semester and her friends would make fun of the Asian girls on our hall because they couldn't understand english.  PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO RESPECT OTHERS!!!!!!!  Of course, my roommate just made the excuse (also used to justify her racism against blacks) that "she was from a small town" and "she was just raised that way."  Oh...well...nevermind then I guess you're excused then...because my hometown's even smaller than yours and my parents are probably a bit racists themselves but I sure as hell aren't....hmm...how very very odd....

Oh I hear you!  This is something that really annoys me, too!  >:(

I usually don't have a problem with animals, it's the OWNERS I have a problem with.  Our neighbors have a dog (a big one) that they occasionally chain up in the back yard.  Well, I'm walking in the yard today and almost step in a HUGE pile of dog crap.

PET PEEVES
1. Loser-y macho guys who own Pitbulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, or German Shepherds.*
2. Loser-y macho guys who own the above breeds and can't control them.
3. Anybody who owns any dog he or she can't control.
4. Pet owners who treat their pets like people. 
5. The above pet owners with resulting anxious, nutty, neurotic, ill-behaved dogs.
6. Dog owners who bring their dogs into shops and public buildings despite the prohibition.
7. Dog owners who leave their dogs tied out alone for 14 hours straight.  Poor dog!  :\'(
8. Cat owners who neglect the cat, resulting in a scrawny, scruffy, forlorn looking thing who
    shows up on my doorstep looking for a hand out.
9. People who pick "pets" higher on the food chain than they: great snakes, big cats, wolves,
    giant lizards, and crocadilians.  This is just wrong!!!

*my problem is with the owners, not the dogs.  In fact, a German Shepherd is one of my favorite breeds.  Any dog gets nasty if it's raised that way.

I don't have a problem with Asian, Spanish, or Indian people. The sometimes language barrier is what bugs me in that sometimes foreigners don't want to put the effort into learning english. I think as more foreigners come to the US and have families it won't even be an issue say in 20 years.


Amen to that.  If you are going to live in this country you should at least know how to speak the language.  It will make life easier for everyone...especially those that come from other countries.

When someone gets on the subway and has to stand in the spot where I'm standing.  Like, right on top of me. Especially if they smell.

I actully got a call from the DNC and at first I wondered how did they get my number so I picked up.  And it was some fund raiser recording that SOUNDED like John Kerry saying ''press 1 to send George Bush back to Texas.''  So that freaked me out and I wondered if the DNC would be nice enough to add another option.  So I waited for the ''press 2 to keep John Kerry in Massachusetts'' option and it never came so I hung up.  I wouldn't mind it if it was from the GOP or RNC but I want nothing to do with Kerry or the DNC!

As long as a Hummer owner don't tailgate me we are fine. I underatand its your right as an American to own whatever vehicle you want. As long as we are on the subject of owing vehicles those "Buy American" theme drive me cazy. I mean some General Motors SUV's are built in Mexico. I guess I shouldn't buy an American Car because they are not built in this country.

Um, GWBush, I think you need to spend a year or two as a Guatemalan peasant.  After that you won't mind the big machine that gives you money asking you a question. 
Think about, the ATM says "English or Spanish" and you have to press one or the other, this does not exactly rank among the great travails of humanity!
At my ATMs, if you just ignore that question, it goes to English by default.  Maybe not on others, but nonetheless...
