Subject: Weird things sold on eBay.

Written By: GWBush2004 on 06/21/04 at 7:00 am

Has anyone noticed all the weird stuff sold on eBay?  Good Morning America did a thing on it.  Navy fighter planes, Janet jackson breast doll, and here are some other examples:

1.A half-eaten piece of french toast from kid rock- over 3,000 dollars
2.Someone sold some ''real'' civil war dirt- $2.50
3.Someone sold their soul- $400.00
4.Elvis's ear piece- over $1,000.00
5.A piece of chewed gum from some baseball player- over $500.00

And now, on the british eBay a 19 year-old man is selling his virginity for $11,000.00 dollars in U.S. money!

Neither of these are weird things, just weird photos to advertise stuff.

There was that wedding dress a while back with the guy modelling it.

A friend of mine sent me this

I am not addicted to e-bay like some people are. However, if there is something strange or unusual, my sister usually notifies me about it. There was one time someone had an old baby food jar that had a handwritten note that said, "My youth" and she sold it as "'My youth' in a jar". I think the sad part about all of this is that people bid on these items.

I saw the man in a wedding dress which I thought was so funny-not so much the picture but the story that went with it. He said that he wife left him and left the dress behind. So he figured he could try to get a couple of bucks for it. At first he just hung it up to take the picture but his sister thought it would be better for it to be modeled. Since the dress didn't fit her, he put it on (with his clothes under it). He went on to tell follow ups to the story after posting it-like the fact that he had a bunch of marriage proposals. He said that he one woman who didn't want to marry him but just wanted to be his ex-wife. He wrote something like, "Hello?? I already have one of those."

There was a kid who sold his friendship.  Sadly, I think he only got like $5 or something for it

Or a guy who sold his soul. I think The Devil might have bought him out. ;D

There was also a guy who was really big (can't remember his exact weight) who said if you bid, he would come out to your house and give you a swift kick in the butt!

And yes, you were allowed to be the one paying for it, but you could actually "mail" it to anyone you thought deserved it.

This isn't weird, but the story about WHY they were selling an item was priceless...

A Playstation was up for auction, the story goes something like this...11 year old son was caught lying to parents and drinking an expensive bottle of wine and as punishment the parents decided to sell his playstation.

I wish I had the link, you'd have a good laugh.

I never sold an air guitar. I said that I'd seen one on sale there once, that's all. I also saw a guy selling an old, broken guitar that he said was once owned by "St. Anger", who was the guy Metallica wrote their album about. Bidding started at $150,000. :)

Who's "St. Anger", anyway? I know the album, but didn't know he existed.

He didn't. It was a joke. The album titled was suggested by a piece of jewelry that Kirk the guitarist was wearing.

Sorry for the accusation. I just thought I remembered one of the Aussies saying in a previous Ebay topic on the old boards that they were going to sell another air guitar

Oh don't worry. An air guitar is something I would sell, if I had one. But I gave all of mine away after my performance of Iron Maiden's "22 Acacia Avenue" with my air-band at Club 77 one night.

Oh, man! Those would be priceless, especially if they were autographed!

There's another one for sale, BTW ;)

So they do exist! I thought an air guitar was when you made noises with your armpits.

Well, that is exactly what I want-and autographed too. Can't be that.  ::)

Like I said, it is one thing to put stuff like this up but I really can't believe that there are people who bid on it. To me, that sounds like an illness.
