The one I hate the most is when I hear teenage guys say, "Oh dude got OWNED!".  They'll say it if someone puts another guy down, or wins an argument, wins a fight, or blows by someone on the basketball court.  I hate it, it is so annoying. 

Then there is all the left over hip hop slang from the 90s, especially the late 90s, that is still in use and I never warmed up to.  Like "playa", "don't be a hater", "sheeeeiiit", "da bomb!", "waasssuup".  Though these have been around for so long, that I am guilty of using them from time to time.       

lol , when ppl put down other ppl over here us teenagers in Chicagoland  say..Oooooooooh P.D.!!! (P.D. for put-down) or they go OOOOOOO U GOT ROASTED!!!!. lol  :D

What I have noticed lately is that people say things and then add 'and s**t' to the end of a sentence for no good reason.

For e.g

I went to the shop to buy some bananas and s**t.

Ah, from gaming.  PWN3D.  I actually got a kick out of seeing and hearing it used in real life.

Speaking of which, is "FAIL" making it off the Intarwebs and into real life?  I think it's a worthy successor, especially since it encompasses the non-competitive situations we all encounter in life.  The situations to which it can be applied are sufficiently universal that I'm even seeing my non-gaming co-workers using it.  It started in '07, but I'm thinking of it as a potential candidate for Word of the Year, 2008.  If w00t can get into the dictionary (with two zeroes), then why not FAIL, all in caps?

The only thing that's pure 00s is "sketchy". I don't know if it's just a connecticut or new England tri-state thing, but we live in a really sketchy world so the word gets a lot of use.

the one that ticks me off is the saying "hurtin" "get R done"  "rape"  "quer" like queer.. but said and spelt differently and "hellyes, fuckyeah, or any swear word in front and "yeah/yes" afterwards."

the rape one i use to always say.. But really? i learned it off my brother playing halo3. ha ha its still bad to say it. for example:
i said to my brother at the kitchen "I'm going to rape you so bad tonight(meaning halo3)". and my dad spazzed like sheesh lol.

But i remember in grade 8 "hurtin" was always said! for example
"Maaaan, that test was so hurtin"

when i reached grade 9 "get R done" was said for example

Rape= Totally annihilate-- "Dude, in that game- you go raped."

Some old dumb words never go away.  Such as Shorty or Shawty.  I only hear it in songs from the 90s through today, refering to a girl, yet I have never heard anyone say it in real life.
