Subject: What are your wheels?

Written By: danootaandme on 08/02/04 at 3:01 pm

I have a 1975 Plymouth Scamp, slant six, with 45,000 on the odometer.  It is my main source of
transportation(the other being my feet).  Somedays I feel wicked cool cruising with the oldies, kids
under 20 seem to love looking at it, one told me it was totally pimp  8)

2003 Ford Expedition...and before anyone goes bashing me on my "gas-guzzler", let's see you safely transport 3 kids, (2 in car seats), a stroller, diaper bag and various accoutrements in the country during a snowstorm in anything that DOES NOT have 4WD.  Trust me, I've tried, and calling a tow truck to pull me out of a ditch once was quite enough thankyouverymuch.
My only problem is that it's a Ford....other than that I'm very glad that your family is safe ;)

I've always wondered...how do you pronounce "Vauxhall?"  Is it pronounced "vox-hall" or "vo-hall?" :)

When I had it we could fill the tank up with $4 and cruise all night, which is what we did.
I remember one day in spring, it was the first real nice day, so I hit the highways.  8) I was
going a bit too fast and got pulled  over.  The cop gave me the "where you going so fast" stuff
so I said "sorry, but it's a camaro and it's springtime and the radio works".  He laughed and said "I know what you mean."  He gave me the ticket anyway, but we laughed while he wrote it up.

I don't get this Nova thing.  Having been around in 1967 I can agree with the Mustang, but in '67 the Nova
was you mothers car.
