Subject: Least Favorite Songs OF ALL TIME

Written By: Apricot on 09/07/04 at 2:44 pm

What are some of your least favorite songs? I don't want to see any answers like "Anything from the 90s!!!!" or "Anything from the 00s!!!!", because we've all heard it before. I want your most hated from each year, or each genre, etc. Lemme know, and if this board gets any responses, I'll post some of my own.

After The Lovin'-Engelbert Humperdinck(that song was played soooo much it was worn into the ground)
The Right Stuff-New Kids on the Block(or shall I say New Fluffs on the Bleecch!)
Devo's Whip It coz they sold that song out to corporate America and the masses who probably think it's just the Swiffer song

You're not seriously going to put one of the best songs of the '80s -- Devo's "Whip It" -- in your least favorite category just because it's in a silly commercial that will soon be forgotten ?  >:( ???

Devo did tick me off when they came up with that stupid video a few years after the song originally came out but I never held it against the song.

;)

"Lady In Red" - Chris De Burgh

Upchuck material  :o

Highly commercial twaddle - having made that nasty comment, it was hardly on it's own in that sense  ;)

It was just nauseatingly overdone  :(

I'll post one for now, more as more people come back:

"The Whistle Song" by DJ Alligator. Popular song on the Dance-Dance Revolution games. I've only played one day a few times, but I heard that song +20 times that day. It was stuck in my head for over a week, nonstop.

Guerilla Radio-Rage Against The Machine....Zack De La Rocha's voice reminds me of fingernails scraping against a blackboard...I don't understand his political stance either.

"I've Never Been to Me"  - If I wrote a song this sappy, I wouldn't go to me either

"The Greatest Love of All" - A song to self-gratify yourself to

"Lady in Red" - That red is the blood in my projectile vomit from listening to the song

"I Just Called to say I Love You" - I just called to say TURN THAT CR@P OFF!

"I'm Amazed by You" (by Lone Star) - I'm amazed they make an entire song out of cliches

'roxanne' by the police makes me happy there are laws that prevent me from doing something stupid. that sound grates me, when he sings "roooooxanne" i have this urge to screach it out in the most annoying wail i can muster.

Worst song ever in history.

The Associates -
"Party Fears Two"

Lyrics

I'll have a shower
And then phone my brother up
Within the hour
I'll smash another cup
Please don't start saying that
Or I'll start believing you
If I start believing you I'll know that this party fears two

And what if this party fears two?
The alcohol loves you while turning you blue
View it from here
From closer to near
Awake me

Don't turn around
I won't have to look at you
And what's not found
Is all that I see in you
My manners are failing me
I'm left feeling ugly
And you say it's wonderful
To live with I never will

So what if this party fears two?
The alcohol loves you while turning you blue
View it from here
From closer to near
Awake me

I'm standing still
And you say I dress too well
Still standing still
I might but it's hard to tell
Even a slight remark
Makes nonsense and turns to shark
Have I done something wrong?
What's wrong's the wrong that's always in wrong

I'll have a shower
And then phone my brother up
Within the hour
I'll smash another cup

I like David Lee Roth, unfortunately, I witnessed pure horror the other night when this slug (slob with BO) sang karoke of I'm a Gigolo.  Never really liked that song, but now I hate it and what's worse is my fingers are still stuck in my ears!

NOoooooooooo!!!  :(

Call me koo-koo and I have no real reason why but I really, really, really like this song.

My absolute least favorite songs ever (thus far) has got to be Some Kind of Monster and St. Anger by Metallica. These guys used to be soooooo bad arse and now they just seem to want to appeal to the masses.  Stinkin Bastaches
