one of those places I have on my agenda of places to go before I die.

Several times. If you're into history, it's worth going. They have a lot of museums, but I never really got to see them. Without that, you're really just reading signs and climbing hills. If that's your thing, go for it. If not, don't waste your time.

Into it, Picketts charge, Chamberlains closing door, great stuff. If you aren't into it try Ken
Burns Civil War, for all the hype it really is worth every second, and it may change
your mind.
