Subject: New Animated Series: "Drawn Together" (2004)
Written By: woops on 10/28/04 at 2:42 am
It's one of the funniest reality show parodys I've seen for a while!!! :D
It's about 8 cartoon characters from different backgrounds living under one house including Princess Clara, a Fairy Tale princess, Ling Ling, a "Pokemon" type character, Toot, a '20's sex symbol who's like a cross between Betty Boop & Fat Albert, Foxie Love, a crime solving musician, and a couple others. :D
Some parts it's dirty, but also well written like "South Park".
Or maybe it'll become boring fast like "Father Of The Pride".
Only time will tell. :)

It was bad! It was trying to hard to be shocking. South Park is funny while sometimes shocking. It was too obvious that Drawn Together was trying too hard. C'mon, a pig that pees everywhere!!!

Guess not many people like it. :-\\ :P
Well, I've read some good comments at the IMDB & TV Tome... :)
IMO, "Kid Notorious" & "Shorties watchin' Shorties" were far worse... :P
Though I like a couple stand up bits from "Shorties watchin' Shorties".

Yeah, Kid Notorious was just bad (not fuunnny!)
Shorties watchin' Shorties had moments, but is bad.

I like it. I especially like the Disney-song moment from the first show and Ling-Ling trying to get people to say his name.

:)
I also liked that song. It was funny and well written.
IMO, it was funnier than the season premier of "South Park". :D
Though I equally like both series...have to wait for the second episode of "Drawn Together"...

As a die-hard John Waters fan, "disturbing trash" doesn't bother me per se. This Drawn Together thing is just dreadfully inane.
On that note, John Waters always proffered his stuff as disturbing trash. The truly disturbing trash from Cosmopolitan to MTV is proffered as hip trend-setting for the young and the beautiful.
Anyway, I'm a big South Park fan. Some of their material is perverse genius. Some of it's sophomoric and stupid, but you gotta take the bad with the good.

IT's watchable but i think that they are trying to hard with the jokes.
