Subject: Finding Nemo and Other Stories Of Overblown Success.

Written By: Apricot on 10/29/04 at 3:50 pm

I HATED THAT MOVIE! Not because it was bad, because of the overblown success. I felt it was okay, not a whole lot of laughs, but average. But for some reason, the rest of the world loooooooooooved Nemo. I cannot tell you how many times I have been made to watch that d@mned movie because everyone loves it. I let it stew inside of me for a year. Now, I post it here. So, I've made this board. Come and explode about this movie, or any other movie with overblown success.

I'm more inclined to remark about Shark Tales, Apricot (which is a film riding on the coat-tails of another). I have yet to see this so I will reserve full judgement until I have.

Overblown success?  Here are a few:

Titanic  (The boat sank, get over it!)

Cabbage Patch Dolls  (Ugly, ugly, ugly, UGLY!)

Thirtysomething (Just what I want to watch, yuppies whining)

Nirvana (What is so good about a singer who is uninteligable?)

Moulin Rouge  (I like 80's music, but combine them into medlys, set in Paris?  Yuck!)

Michael Moore (His first movie was good, since then he has become a biased political hack, a Rush Limbaugh for the Liberals, but even more mean)

The Grateful Dead (Come on, they only had ONE top ten song for goodness sakes!)

Survivor (In fact, ALL reality shows basically suck)

Me  (No, wait, I am not a success.  Nevermind)

8)

Why can't you be happy if one succeeds? Such karma comes back on a person.
