Subject: SC, Clemson ADs Bar Football Teams From Bowl Games

As a statement to athletes that violent events such as the Pacers-Pistons brawl are not to be emulated, the Athletic Directors of both South Carolina and Clemson have decided not to allow the schools' football teams to participate in this season's Bowl games, despite that they qualified with 6-5 records. This stemming from the mini-brawl Saturday between the two teams that escalated into a free-for-all in which the State Police were called. Of course, not a good way for Lou Holtz to end his coaching career. :\'(
