Just wondering, 'cos I only use the 'Net at work, giving a maximum possible of 9 hours per day- I probably only really use it for about 5 of those hours. I try not to touch a PC in my spare time, but obviously lots of you write on here from at home- just wondering how often, how long...

With correspondence and other things, at two hours, but with an oncoming university course it will be more.

24/7/365!!  Home...work...even on my cell phone. Well, that's not to say that I'm constantly on the internet, but it's always on and never out of reach should I need it.  I think it's an addiction!!!  Maybe I need a 12 step program!!  :D

I've never really totted it all up (I tend to dart about in several directions at once), but I would hazard a guess at 3 hours weekdays and 4 hours Saturday/Sunday (depending if I'm bored/things need doing/people need seeing/cat needs feeding...)

Approx. 3 hours weekdays and can be on it a bit more at weekends.

For me there are two simple formula's that answer this question...
1. Most Posts=Biggest Mouth :D

2. Slowest Connection=Frustartion and LOTS of time spent :P

Well, ever since I registered (on the old board) almost a year ago, I've been coming here regularly; it's been lots of fun. I don't come here every day, though. The weekend before Christmas we had lots of holiday preparation to do, including baking cookies, so that took priority over the computer; hence, I did not go online at all then.

I use to spend almost 9-10 hours but I've lessened it to about 6-7 hours a day or depends on the weekend.

From morning until night... but I take breaks.

hmmm Toughie.. because i never get to sleep till the early hours.. a hell of a lot.. cus i will be online from like 8PM - 2AM and then ocasionally during the day like on the weekend. On average 6 hours  :o but often much more.. this is cus i refuse to watch TV

i don't use a comp at work mine is all fun from home and everyday is how often and how long is way too much for me to count ::) it's different everyday but deffo not less than 6 hrs ???

Maybe so! I work on a telephone line, our official company policy is any 'Net usage should not interfere with our work, and it's easy to just click into the screen I need for my job...actually, our department says we shouldn't really use the 'Net other than via an authorised portal (BBC!), but we have taken the attitude that if we all use it, they can't sack us all at once, plus one department shouldn't have a rule contrary to the company policy. ;)
I do spend most of my 'Net time on here, or on the BBC 606 Football messageboards. Those are pretty raucous, sometimes at peak times their mods don't get round to censoring stuff as quickly as they should, leading to some pretty ribald discussions- it makes InThe00s look positively serene at times. We also have an Intranet discussion forum at my workplace, but I don't use that very much, as I got into serious hot water for criticising the actions of an over-zealous project manager in the past.

If I suddenly disappear, you know what's happened to me!  ;D

My work day is six hours, so it does give me more time to be online later on.

Usually about 1 1/2to 2 hours.....longer when I'm downloading music with BearShare.

Too much! Maybe about an hour or so. I don't get as much time as before since I share a computer with my computer geek husband and our Nick Jr. loving son.

well if I'm not sleeping I'm on the net, it's amazing how little sleep the body needs

My mother gets worried about me spending so much time on the internet, but it's a lot better than TV.

Too True.. i probably only watch around 7-8 hours of TV Per week now.. i just find messing round on the computer and going out are better alternatives. More creative.

It's almost like I'm married to the computer.I'm probably on here more than the outside world. ;D
