8.    Footloose
7.    Aladdin
6.    Beverly Hills Cop
5.    Grease
4.    The Breakfast Club
3.    Labryinth

I'm going with...
For the '60s -  West Side Story, Help!,Z, A Hard Day's Night.
For the '70s -  Harold and Maude, My Name is Nobody, La Vallee Obscured by Clouds, Godspell, and parts of Saturday Night Fever.
For the '80s -  Diva and Cinema Paradiso.

I haven't heard anything in a long time that I thought was great and original movie music or a movie that at least had more than one good song. I'll check out what others post.

While we are on the subject of Westerns, Unforgiven has a good title track, it's very sad and moving, check it out if you can.

Would you call The Man From Snowy River a western?
i really don't think it is...just because it has horses doesn't make it a western!  ???
I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as a western set in Australia either...especially since it's set in the Snowy Mountains (which would make it more of an Eastern  ;))
