I'd say technology, DVDs (look nicer and no rewinding, easy scene selection), much better cell phones, digital cameras (so much more convenient than film), Windows XP is so much better than Win 98 and earlier (it still has its issues though).

Advances in medical technology as stated, "fun" technology like DVDs and cell phones, comic book films(im a big comic reader), and thats about it really.

I'd say technology, DVDs (look nicer and no rewinding, easy scene selection), much better cell phones, digital cameras (so much more convenient than film), Windows XP is so much better than Win 98 and earlier (it still has its issues though).
I'd agree with most of the things you'd mention, but I don't really think DVD's are that great, especially the no rewinding. What if you want to skip through a section in the movie that totally freaks you out. With VCR's, you'd had that luxery. DVD's, forget it. Other things I want to point out is medical technology is getting better (Fora person choke's on a piece of meat, all they have to do is perform a tracheotomy and you are as good as new.) Cell phones remained the same; all they have is extra games and entertainment consoles. With computers, they are getting better every second, even as I speak. ...

You can fast forward with DVDs.
