It was supposed to be Jackass, because I love donkeys and the word Jackass.  I guess the forum people didn't like that word and took out the 'as'.

Mine's an old nickname, from when I used to work in a warehouse. My surname's Woods, so I was GoodsinWoods (like Goods Inwards). I also like the connotation of sin being good, quite satanic- I personally think the classification of natural human behaviour as sin is rubbish, therefore I do feel several sins are good, but I'm not naming which ones! ;)

Did you know there were some "groups" who were protesting Jiminy Cricket because in one still frame of one movie, he's standing straight up and looks like a certain part of the male anatomy (well, if it was painted green ;) wearing a tux ?  ::)

Well, let's see, I'm a mom & when I chose it, I was losing my mind, but that was too long to type so I used the common phrase for it...crazy :D
Guess when we were kids, we drove our mom's  :D  This lady told me her kids drove here  :D and ended up calling her a psycho bit_h - she really went off then!

Weren't Sigue Sigue Sputnik planning to take over the world, at one point? I bought their album 'Flaunt it', only album I ever bought to have adverts between the songs! I quite liked their look (one of them used to have a pair of Space Baby docs, like mine), but never felt the urge to wear tights on my face a la Martin Degville (at least not in public... ;D)!

Max was not my given name at birth.  I didn't like my given name, Burke.  Burke was an uncle of mine who became estranged from my father early in my childhood.  There I was carrying the namesake from an accursed uncle.  That felt kinda weird.  In school I got called "Burke the jerk."  Burke wasn't even my uncle's first name, it was his middle name, originally a surname from somewhere in my ancestry.  His first name was Gerald, but he got called Burke all his life to distinguish him from my grandfather, who was also a Gerald.
My favorite children's book was Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are.  I always loved the name Max, so at age nine, I decided to take it.  I told everybody I was to be called "Max" and wouldn't answer to anything else.  My parents and my school teachers all being liberals were OK with going along with my new name.  They figured I was playing a kid's identity development game.  But I wasn't.  I never in twenty-five years considered reverting to my original name.  In fact, I had it changed legally at age eighteen.
Now, I'd tell you about my middle name "Tuckerman," but that would only open up the name-game can of worms in my family.  It's pretty confusing!
The screen name Maxwell Smart was an easy choice.  I wanted something funny and pop-cultury for inthe00s.  The first few months I was here I posted only in the '60s, '70s, and '80s.  Now I rarely go on those boards, I should though.  The name, however, isn't very creative and I look nothing like Don Adams, but I still like it so I'll keep it.

Burke Tuckerman sounds very posh really, Max, though I can definitely understand why you would want to change it.  :)

I have a friend who's first name is Tiger because he liked the golfer. I let him get on with it.  ::)

When you're nine it didn't sound posh, it sounded dorky.  There was also the thing about my uncle.  The chief reason for changing the name, I'm afraid, was a distrust of my parents (well-founded) and a need to establish an identity of my own apart from the family.

That reminds me of my sister's best friend from high school.  She turned out to be gay (the sister's friend, not the sister) so she was searching for an identity to call her own.  Her given name was "Donna."  At 17 she became "Ziggy" (yes, as in "Ziggy Stardust"), then she was "Mina" then she was a few more things, then for about ten years she was "Simon."  This year, at the age of 42, she is back to "Donna."  Her totally square parents had a few issues with the names-thing at first, but in the end everyone "let her get on with it."

Absolutely understandable. No offence but if I had a name like that, I would have probably got beaten up at school. I'm not sure if parents see these type of repercussions when they give those type of names to a child.

No, Webstor had powers. He was able to sling ropes to climb and move around with. Sort of like the webs of a spider. That's why he was called WEBstor.

Come to think of it, he was a bit of a rip off of Spiderman, though...  :-\\

Contrary to popular belief, my name has nothing to do with Batman. I was dubbed with the nickname many, many moons ago (before the Batman movies-but not before the series) because of my love for cats. I collect cats of all kinds (figurines that is) and I used to have 4 of them  :o (I now only have 2). And yes, I do possess certain feline qualities.  ;)  When I came on-line, I discovered that there were MANY "Catwoman"'s so I needed something to make it unique-so I added the "ofV"-which actually stands for "of Venus" (or Vermont  ;) ). Some places I do use the entire thing-CatwomanofVenus.

As for my avatar-I chose my "namesake" the original Catwoman-Julie Newmarr.

Catwoman, as opposed to Cat Lady.  See, every town has a house inhabited by a witchy old widow who has an indeterminate number of cats at any one time.  Whatever the number, it's a lot!  She's often known as the "cat lady"!

When I joined Chucky's new "Nasty Penguins" board, I chose by stream of consciousness the name "Erottweiler."  I wanted something sexy and nasty at the same time.  I chose the combination of "erotic" and "Rottweiler," the first word for obvious reasons, the second word because I always thought Rottweiler dogs were kinda nasty!
