Subject: Which is Better: 1997-2000 and 2005, or 2001-2004

Written By: Kyle on 03/14/05 at 7:40 pm

I'm sorry to say this is more of a '90s topic, but it least has to have some 2000's in it, someway.  :D  So whatz your pick, 1997-2000 (and 2005, because there is many similarities) or 2001-2004.  My opinion, 1997-2000 and 2005.  Why?  Why not?

;D

I'd like to know exactly how 2005 is connected with 1997-2000 more than 2004, lol. That makes no sense to me.

I think you're right?  Some of the stuff, especially the music at the end of the movie Shrek 2a lot of 1999 to it, especially Livin' La Vida Loca and the dance music.  Also, Ryan Cabera, Ashlee Simpson, and other teen poppers, yo, brought back the feel, too.

Yea I guess, but movies have old songs all the time. Ryan Cabrera, Ashlee Simpson and the like are nothing like the boy bands and girl pop that was big in the late '90s. First of all Ashlee Simpson really isn't a real artist imo, she's more of a comedy act, she's so bad it's hard not to laugh. Even Britney is better than Ashlee Simpson. And Ryan Cabrera isn't much better. If you want to classify top 40 music then you would do 1997-2000 maybe '01, then 2001- present. Top 40 music has not really changed one bit since late 2001. Do you really think the real music of today is Ryan and Ashlee? I mean come on, that's like the bottom of the barrel for today's music. Look at the real music out there like Green Day, Modest Mouse, Franz Ferdinand, Killers, etc.
