Wow. Scary stuff
I was reading in the paper on the bus home about how Google has become the largest multimillion corporation or something like that and it's worth a staggering £44bn!  :o
It started on the family's computer and nowadays gets 120m hits a day
The company is richer than Time Warner, Walt Disney and a host of others that I was really surprised at.
No the wonder people are hacking it

I don't know.
If payment is required , it will be the end of the internet as we know it.

Like some people can't find anything better to do than to terrorize law-abiding citizens with the Internet and search engines like Google. Scary for us and shameful for them. I hope prosecution of these hackers comes soon.

P.S. : Try to find a link where everyone is talking, not just the guys. J/K. ;D)

PROS: New features retrieve answers, not just results; some answers come directly from Encarta online; Search Builder allows ranking by fresh/static, popular/less-popular, exact/approximate match.

CONS: Tuned for Internet Explorer, but may not work well with other browsers. Still beta, so many features not complete.

BOTTOM LINE: A worthy challenger to Google, especially when all of the new answer-oriented features are fully functional.

The advantages & disadvantages to Googlesoft.

Hey, I'm no fan of mult-billion dollar companies in general, but Google, it seems to me, got so rich by making a free service that works and everyone can use.
I'll bet these scare tactics are driven by other corporate phonies who don't think anything should be free to the general public.
