not really. my great-uncle designed some of the first modern office buildings. it's because when they surveyed people, they found a lot of phobias about getting on a crowded elevator and not looking there best, so the mirror lets them check.

I kind of thought the mirrors were for security purposes only.

I kind of thought the mirrors were for security purposes only.
Sometimes, they are two-way mirrors with security personnel, but only in hi-risk bildings.
