Subject: Discount Vacation and Sales Pitch

Did anybody ever do one of those vacations where they give you 4 days at a nice resort for a really low cost, but you have to take a tour and get a sales pitch for a time share? I know some of these must be scams, but are some of them legit? Did anybody ever do one?

We did. We went and listened to their B.S. sales pitch. There were a couple of red flags that went up for each of us. The one that got me, we were basically "buying" a week's stay at a resort but yet, we still have to pay 50% of the cost for staying there. A red flag for hubby was the fact that only thing the guy had in writting was the piece of paper he was scribbling on-nothing else was in writing. AND the kicker was that we HAD to decide right then and there. WRONG!! Well, we did get a dinner (which sucked) and a night's stay at the place. That was pretty cool. We basically had the place to ourselves and got to use the heated pool for our pleasure. ;)
