Subject: Jeff Foxworthy show joins the Nick at Nite line-up...why?

The Jeff Foxworthy Show Comes to NAN
Date 07.12.05 11:07 PM
From: TVLTheLink

Everybody's favorite "redneck" is coming to Nick@Nite. Stand-up comic Jeff Foxworthy stars as a hardworking, self-proclaimed "redneck", striving to keep up with his fledgling heating and air business, his wife, kids, and his well-to-do in-laws. It's blue collar comedy at its finest! The series debuts on Saturday, July 23rd, and will air Saturdays from 10 p.m. until midnight.

I am wondering why Nick at Nite is bothering with this?  I never could understand some of the shows that they chose to put in their line-up.  I have and always will be a "Mama's Family" fan...and I think that it would do much better with the ratings then "The Jeff Foxworthy Show"...I mean, that show isn't even THAT old.

What does everyone think about this?

I am excited about it.  I loved that show before they moved and changed some of the actors.

Yeah, seriously, why is this on Nick at Nite? Even if it's good.. Nick at Nite is old shows, isn't it? They keep adding new crap.. first, the Bill Cosby cartoon. I never liked them, but I liked that there was some place to catch old shows. Maybe they're trying to make Nickelodeon after 10 PM a bit more bearable for the kids that don't watch any other channel {I know I was one}.

Don't like it, but that good for fans of that show since it's not on anymore.

Only if Nick at Nite were to air "Parker Louis Can't Lose"...  :)  :D

I hate the Jeff Foxworthy show. I miss the old Nick At Night...you know, when it actually consisted of old shows.

Jeff Foxworthy is a little played out at this point, but I'll be grateful if he displaces some of the Cosby.
I can't stand Cosby!!!!  He's a condescending, sanctimonious, preachy, and unfunny Oreo cookie MF!
:P

Why do some people here seem to dislike Jeff Foxworthy?

Is it because he's not POLITICALLY CORRECT?

Or is it because of the 'redneck' stuff....

He is a NASCAR fan...and I think it's funny when he pokes fun at Jeff Gordon...

Oh come on.. he's funny.

You know, i was clicking away and this pop up came up, Do you want to enlarage your penis, so i clicked yes, 'are you sure?' NO! I want it to fall off.. There's your sign.  ;)

Although i don't know if it's the right place for the show, it could be that they offered the best deal.

He's not offensive or anything... just keep in mind, comedy doesn't have universal appeal. I find the show Robot Chicken to be hilarious.. but some people would hate that show if they saw it. It's subjective. Sometimes people just don't "get" comedians.

There are no funny "politically correct" people.  So-called "political correctness" is anathema to humor.  'nuff said!
Foxworthy's routine is funny, he's just not very versatile.  That's what happens to comedians who base themselves on a cultural stereotype, such as Andrew Dice Clay.

I love "Robot Chicken"!  Sometimes the sketches are two seconds long, and if you don't get the gag, you're out of luck.  Otherwise it's awesome.  That stop action animation is sooooo much work.  It's amazing they can get so many sketches done in so little time!

Jeff Foxworthy isn't the guy that does "here's your sign".  That's Bill Engvall.  Foxworthy does the Redneck jokes.

His voice is a little annoying at times, but he cracks me up.

Your right, my bad.

Well, actually they all did them on the Blue collar tour, but you are right.

YES! I KNEW I'd find another fan. I love the sketches.. my favorite still stands as this:

"oohh.."
"What's wrong?"
"Dude, I think I'm constipated.. do you have anything to help?"
"Hold on, I'll.. *punches in belly* Side effects may include.. I JUST KICKED YOUR @SS!!"

;D

Stop-animation IS a lot of work... I don't know how they do it. And so many. I'm looking forward to next season.
