I think while French Canadians recognize and respect their ancestry, they are far different than their French brethren.
By the way, in Quebec, KFC is PFK for "Poulet Frite de Kentucky" :D

That ad's in very bad taste, I have to say. I can't believe a respectable company like Subway would run it.
