Subject: Anyone ever heard of a Current Event Quiz?

Written By: Everlong on 10/02/05 at 9:15 pm

When I was in middle school, my social studies teacher who was a bit crazy would give us a current event quiz that she got every week or month in the mail from some sort of company or scholastic thing.  Pretty hard trivia on world events, I guess she gave it to us because we were the 'gifted students' at our school.  It was a folded thing with maybe about sixty or seventy questions- very plain and standard looking, but I can't remember at all where she got it from, and I'd be very interested to find out, because they were a lot of fun and very informative.  Has anyone by any chance ever heard of anything like this?

My Grade 12 English teacher used to give us a current events quiz, but it wasn't like the one you got.  He'd open up the newspaper and quiz us on current topics in the news.  It counted towards our final grade
