Just out of curiosity, do you like dance music? Not sure what gives me that impression, just a wild stab in the dark!

I'll even go as far as to say that "Best of You" by Foo Fighters is the Best Song of this Decade (The 2000's)

Easily, in my opinion

Some songs from this year that I like...

"Breathe (2AM)" - Anna Nalick
"Behind These Hazel Eyes" - Kelly Clarkson
"Unwritten" - Natasha Bedingfield 8)
"Cool" - Gwen Stefani

Don't Lie- Black Eyed Peas

I kinda like that one too. Even though I don't much care for their music overall, I think this one has a rather catchy beat to it.

If there are any songs mentioned here that aren't from this year, maybe the "Ellipsis" guest will let us know.

To me, yes.  Everything else this decade has been mostly crappy hip hop and pop music.  There aren't very many songs I hear outside of what's played on the Radio, so it's not like I listen to any underground music or anything. Most of my life i've listened mostly to Rap music, I would occasionally listen to Rock every now and again if it had a good beat to it (I judge music on the beats and overall feel of the song more than the lyrics).  Mostly this year i've found myself listening to alot more Rock music and now i've about completely shunned myself of Rap.  Ever since about 3 months ago, I completely stopped listening to the radio, all the music out today is junk.  I just sit around and listen to mostly 90's Rock, such as Nirvana, STP, Nine Inch Nails, Collective Soul, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, Bush, Smashing Pumpkins, etc...

But yes, I feel that since the year 2000, "Best Of You" might just be the Best Song.  The only other songs I can think of that challenge it for Best Song (IMO) would be "Beautiful Day" by U2, and "Hemorrhage" by Fuel

As you can see, I'm really into the "Intense/Emotion Driven" Rock songs  ;)

Those are some great songs as well. Cool is easily Gwen's best solo single. A couple other songs I think are great:
Dance, Dance- Fall Out Boy
Soul Meets Body- Death Cab for Cutie

I don't know either one of those, but I do agree with you that "Cool" is Gwen's best solo single. It's the only solo single of hers that I actually like.

I think the best song of 2005 is INXS Pretty Vegas that made the band come back with this song and a new lead singer during the summer of 2005
