Subject: Cultural change this year?

I think '06 will start out lame, then get better toward the end of the year. More indie rock/neo-wave stuff, and the beginning of nu-rap backlash. Mariah's album will stop making hits mid-year, No Doubt's new album will be only a moderate success. Movies will be lame but have a couple gems. Big political and cultural changes for sure.

In the popular culture I just see more inane trash. I doubt I'll go to even three new movies this year. Politically, I see more lying and dirty tricks. But, I won't comment further on politics here.

It'll probably be another 1999 ... but who knows right :)
