Subject: Marine Corps Goes Green

The US Marines are getting ready to field a new vehicle for scouting and reconisance.
The RST-V is expected to start trials in Iraq later this year. The vehicle is a hybrid, powered by a generator, and moved with 4 seperate electric motors, one in each wheel hub.
The hope is that military R&D will help make this technology safer and cheaper for use in civilian vehicles.
