Subject: The '00s PC Backlash

Written By: velvetoneo on 02/24/06 at 5:26 pm

I feel like there's been a huge backlash against the stupidity of PC this decade, not only among people but in film, etc. Any other opinions? I'll post more on this later, sorry.

Bump...any thoughts? I see South Park and alot of current comedies as an example of this.

WWII Donald Duck cartoons I've never seen...

though I've seen the one he became invisible about 8 years ago on Disney Channel, but not the Oscar winning "Der Fuehrer's Face" and "Commando Duck".

Same for uncut Looney Tunes on DVD  8)

PC is worse now, than in the '90s.  The Wikipedia PC article is so controversial.

It may be worse, but there's more backlash against it in pop culture...it was a pretty well-accepted fact of life until the late '90s or so, in PC's uncontroversial heyday. South Park started the backlash, now most younger people use ethnic comedy without meaning to be offensive, both showing rebellion against the PC establishment and ignorance of the civil rights crusade.

That's true. People don't like it as much now.  Which IMO is good, I can't stand too much PC.  Takes the fun out of everything.
