Kevin Federline New Album Details Revealed

March 31, 2006

LOS ANGELES, CA -- It has been reported that Kevin Federline had expressed interest in recording a rap album. But there has been a slight change in plans for his next album. And the following details will really make you scratch your noggin.

Federline, who turned 28 on March 21, has finished recording his much-anticipated and much-maligned debut album, Just a Gigolo, and no is IS NOT a rap album. "I'm doing standards," says the crooner. "I heard these albums by Patrick Stewart . He did a standards album, too, and those songs touched me, man."

Federline will slightly alter some of the lyrics, but the songs will stay true to their traditional arrangements. Here's an example of a lyric from his version of "Fly Me to the Moon":

Fly me to the moon/And let me play among the stars/Like J Lo, Brad, and Tom/Denzel and Halle, too

Federline has also confirmed the tracklist:

1. "It Had to Be You"
(Kahn/Jones)
2. "Unforgettable"
(Made famous by Nat "King" Cole)
3. "I Left My Heart in San Francisco"
(Cory/Douglas)
4. "Mona Lisa"
(Evans/Livingston)
5. "Fly Me to the Moon"
(Howard)
6. "I Got Rhythm"
(Gershwin/Gershwin)
7. "I'll Build a Stairway to Paradise"
(Gershwin)
8. "Just a Gigolo"
(Brammer/Caesar/Casucci)
9. "The Lady Is a Tramp"
(Rodgers/Hart)
10. "Mood Indigo"
(Ellington)
11. "Night and Day"
(Porter)
12. "When You're Smiling"
(Fisher/Godwin/Shay)
13. "Fascinating Rhythm"
(Gershwin/Gershwin)
14. Easter Parade
(Irving Berlin)
15. "It's a Woman's Prerogative"
(Arlen/Mercer)
16. "It Might as Well Be Spring"
(Rodgers/Hammerstein)
17. "Thanks For the Memory"
(Rainger/Robin)

Some of the tracks may or may not make the final album. Federline will premiere the debut single, "Fly Me to the Moon," on MTV's popular Total Request Live (TRL) program Monday. Nobody has seen the final product, not even Federline himself. "I don't want to spoil the moment," he says. The TRL episode is expected to draw record ratings for this season of the show; the ratings have dropped significantly since November. The album, Just a Gigolo, is scheduled for a May release.

Cute, but, you really don't give us enough credit. Fun to read, though. The mental image was worth the insulted intelligence :)

As Dennis DeYoung once said,

The time has come at last
(Secret, secret, I've got a secret)
To throw away this mask
(Secret, secret, I've got a secret)
Now everyone can see
(Secret, secret, I've got a secret)
My true identity!

Except, in his case, he was revealing that he was some dude named Kilroy. Since the time has come at last, I've got two simple words for everybody...

;D ;D APRIL FOOL'S!  ;D ;D

That was a good 'un, wasn't it?  ::) Well, I guess my work here is done. :)
