Subject: Movies of 2005

One of the few things I don't miss about 2005 was people complaining about there were no good movies that year. Yeah, it may not have been the best year ever for movies. I was a little disappointed myself because I was expecting it to be more like 1989 or 1997. But still, there were a lot of good movies that came out in '05. In fact, I think 2005 and 2006 are actually the better years for movies of this decade, which is why I've been buying a lot of DVD's lately. There were other factors as to why there was a decline in the total box office gross in 2005 compared to 2004, like the rising gas prices forcing people to cut back on expenses such as going out to the movies, combined with the fact that they can just wait a few months for the DVD.
Anyways, here is a list of the movies released in 2005 that I really enjoyed:
- Batman Begins
- Star Wars III
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
- Fantastic Four
- Mr. and Mrs. Smith
- War of the Worlds
- Dukes of Hazzard
- Wedding Crashers
- The 40 Year Old Virgin
- The Longest Yard
- Cinderella Man
- Crash
- Sin City
- Hitch
- Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
- Robots
- Madagascar
- Chicken Little
- Just Friends
- Chronicle's of Narnia
