What do you think is the best year for movies so far? I'll have to go with 2005 and 2006. I've been going to the movies almost every week lately, and I've been buying a lot of DVD's.

Using Tia's list, i'lm goign to pick some in no particular order.
1. 8.8 The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) 146,445 best of the three
5. 8.6 Memento (2000) 114,768 great concept and well acted
9. 8.4 Hotel Rwanda (2004) 24,024 slow, but performances are worth it
16. 8.2 Crash (2004) 54,238 jsut saw it...great script. surprising acting from most of the cast
17. 8.2 Batman Begins (2005) 80,364 amazing...throw all the other batman movies in the garbage.
19. 8.2 Donnie Darko (2001) 75,352 more should see this well made, freaky film
27. 8.0 Gladiator (2000) 115,583 loved it...guys running and fighting is always good- mixed with good acting is great
42. 7.9 In America (2002) 11,871 wonderful story and acting. more should watch this one
43. 7.9 The Station Agent (2003) 10,909 one of my favorites so far...charming and sad, funny and wonderfully acted
50. 7.9 Sideways (2004) 32,466 better than most think...watch it twice.
