I've heard of this new band called The Fray. Are they a new emo group?

I don't think so. A/C soft rock Daniel Powter type stuff in my mind.

A/C soft rock with very slight emo influences, just because everything is...like a song called "Bad Day" is sort of whiny emo, for example, and "You're Beautiful" is emo-influenced (in topic) A/C soft rock.

You're Beautiful definitely has an emo element to it. I can play the melody on the keyboard.
