Lame to be sure, but I can't say I blame the white kids. White kids have known black kids were cooler for over fifty years. The word "cool" itself came out of the jazz slang in the '50s. George Carlin had a joke about it way back, something like
"You've got guys named Duffy with red hair and freckles going 'say, what's happenin,' baby?'
'And where do you think you're going now?"
'Ah sayyyed OUT, sheeeeyit!'
But you won't hear the black kids saying,
'Oh golly-gee whiz, we won the big game...'"

I still think alot of 'ghetto' slang is incredibly cheesy, just like any other sort of slang.

Yes, it's from the old song "Double Dutch Bus". So for all of suburbia, Snoop did not invent this word.
