So, anyone else here think that movies based on comic books are a big trend in the 00's?  It seems like every year has at least one, if not several, movies based on comic books.  Here are just some of the comic book movies that have come out in recent years:

X-Men series
Batman Begins
Superman Returns (actually not out yet, but oh well)
The Hulk
Fantastic Four
Daredevil
Probably some other ones that I've somehow forgotten

So, what does everyone think of this whole comic book trend?  I personally think it's an alright trend.  Sure, movies like Daredevil sucked horribly, but X-Men and Batman Begins were pretty awesome movies.  Superman Returns doesn't look that great, but I've never been a Superman fan so that's no surprise.  I sometimes wish they'd make more good original movies though, instead of basing it on something else like a comic book.

Dare Devil is one of my favorite comic books, but I wasn't to happy with the movie.
which brings to Electra, another comic book movie.

I liked Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, X-Men, and X2.
